This guide is mainly to help new users to stay out of trouble and keep themselves alive. As you can see, many new users get deleted in a few days just because they had violated the board rules intentionally or accidentally. So, this should be a quick guide to keep you alive for ALL the boards in SIS.

So, this is you should do to stay alive in this board.

LEVEL UP

ACTIVE ACCOUNT
1. Try to log in once in awhile to let the administrator knows that your account is still active. Posting one or two replies won't hurt either. Please put some effort into this. It seems like your account will be deleted if you had not log in for a month.

2. Change your passwords regularly. You should avoid using simple passwords as well since there are a lot of accounts were hacked and then deleted by administrator. Your password should be as long as possible containing combination of numbers and alphabets.

REPLYING AND CREATING TOPIC
1. Always aware of banwords and punctuations in your every single post. Your post should be must have at least 10 words in English or 20 words in Chinese. Try to avoid meaningless post such as  "good....." and "I agree......" Last but not least, do not use smiley, the emotion icon more than once in a row.

2. Read every topic thoroughly before replying. When you reply, always post your feeling or try to feedback to the topic creator for further informations.

3. Always read the replies of any topics as well. This is what we call 'learn from others'. Read through the reply posted by other users gives you some ideas on how to post a reply without receiving any penalty.

4. Be exrtremely becareful when you try to create a topic or contribute to the web. There is no shortcut, if you want to contribute to the site, you have to read the leveling guide or board rules since there is a format that must be followed. Simply post what you like will get yourself some penalties or your account DELETED. Always bear that in mind.

5. No politics, flaming and swearing allowed. That means you have to behave yourself all the times. Always respect all moderators and users. Even if you did not agree with other users suggestions or actions, try to reason with them in proper manners instead of throwing all your angers at them.

6. No spamming is allowed. What is considered as spamming then? It means reply the same words in many threads, or spamming replies in a single or multiple threads in less than 1 minutes. You should not copy others reply as well or you will be penalized.

7. If you did something wrong, immediately make the correction and pm the mod saying that the correction had been made.

8. Do simply reply any post. Some posts have requirements in order to reply such as applying for medal and so. Most announcements posted by moderators shouldn't be replied as well, simply replying the post will get you banned.

This is just direct translate from the FTP section. This FAQ is created by 超団長. I just translate the FAQ, nothing else, all credits are given to 超団長.

IP address 67.228.208.86 port 21  

Please do not use Thunder (XunLei) since it may cause the server to hang and cause a lot of troubles to other user.

It is recommended to use FlashFXP or CuteFTP to download the stuff from FTP.

Here are the steps to use FTP:
1. Make sure your account is one of these - level 4 user or above, VIP, donator, contributor, moderator.
2. Visit the FTP centre
3. Activate FTP account
4. Buy download amount. For now, the download amount is totally free but the attachment is not, 1 attachment will cost you 1 gold coin.
5. You may use software to log in to FTP server. Then, you will be able to upload or download files. Your FTP user name is in this format sis_ID (if your ID is CTZ, your ID will be sis_CTZ). You may use your UID to log in as well, the UID will be displayed in blue color. the password will be the same as your account password.

This is FAQ section, please refer to it if you have any problem. Feel free to ask questions if the FAQ can't solve your problem.

Q: I can't log in to the FTP server
A: There are too many causes for this error. Please refer to the steps to use FTP first. If you are certain that you had followed every steps, copy the error message and post it.
Sometimes, your internet service provider had blocked port 21. You have to check your firewall setting as well, make sure the software and port are not blocked by firewall. If all this suggestions don't work, restart your computer.

Q: My user name and user ID are correct but connection failed.
A: 1. Your ISP blocked port 21, there is no way to solve this problem
   2. Check firewall setting and make modification.
   3. Check whether if you are using pasv (passive mode) connection. You can either choose to tick it or not, you need to try both.

Q: 421 Your Account Is Expired!
A: You have to buy the FTP service again.

Q：FTP server download limit
A：There is no limit for now

Q：FTP server connection limit
A：There is no limit for now

Q：Upload and Download
A: You can download anything you want. For upload, please upload your file to correct folder, do not create or upload your file to "root".

Q：I can't rename my folder
A：Only Administrator can rename folder.

Q: I can't delete the file I uploaded or I just uploaded the wrong file.
A: Make a reply at report topic, administrator will take care of it.

Q: The name of the file or folder cannot be displayed correctly
A: The file is using Chinese Traditional or Japanese characters. If you use FlashFXP, just choose Japanese language or big5.

Q: The file I uploaded disappeared.
A: Moderators will delete incomplete file after some time or move the file to other location. Sometimes, moderator will delete your file by accident, please contact the moderator and upload the file again.

Q：530 Not logged in, unauthorized IP address
A: There is a high probability that you had had set limitation to your IP at FTP centre. Undo the limitation or change your IP to solve this problem.

Q：421 too many users, please try it later.
A: The server can only support 1000 users, please try to reconnect later. Do not try to reconnect continuously or your IP will be banned.

Q: I had connected to the FTP server but I don't see any files or folders.
A: The server is down for some reasons, wait for the administrator to solve this problem.
