俄亥俄级巡航导弹攻击核潜艇－俄亥俄号SSGN-726 ，始建于1976年4月10号，由美国通用电气电船公司(General Dynamics Coporation)承建，1979年4月7日下水试车。首艇舷号USS Ohio (SSBN-726）。
   2005年12月被编入美军太平洋舰队，母港为华盛顿班戈（BANGOR）海军基地。俄亥俄号SSGN-726算是美国在役核潜艇中性能比较落后的潜艇.
   “俄亥俄”号载弹量大，共24个垂直发射管，其中22个发射管分别装有7枚战斧（Tomahawk）巡航导弹，发射管直径为2.7米，潜艇共有154枚导弹，最新型战斧巡航导弹可以准确命中1609公里以外的目标，瞬间摧毁数十米半径以内的建筑，即使在发射后，也可以攻击目标。“俄亥俄”号成为配备巡航导弹最多的水下作战平台，既是一座水下导弹库，也是水下导弹超级发射平台，可对100多个重要军事目标实施猛烈打击，成为亚太地区配备巡航导弹最多的潜艇。
    “俄亥俄”核潜艇全员159人，它还具特种战的功能，可运载66名“海豹”特种兵，潜艇外部拥有可搭载两艘最新微型潜艇（ASDS）的圆筒型结构物，该微型艇由诺思洛普.格鲁曼公司设计制造，长19.8米，直径2.44米，重55吨，水下排水量约200吨，航速8节，航程可达125海里。桅杆上装有光电传感器，能捕获夜间景象，并通过数据链把图像传输到指挥部门。每艘一次可运送9名海军陆战队员，特战队突击队员可乘坐这两艘微型潜艇移动作战，能够对亚太有关热点海区进行水下侦察、渗透、监视和偷袭破坏、解救人质等特种战活动。其中，2个鱼雷管可以投放无人战机或者无人小战舰。
